Frequently Asked Questions
IS THE TREATMENT PROGRAM LICENSED AND ACCREDITED?
JourneyPure Fort Walton is proud to be an outpatient facility accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. We constantly modify our programs to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices.
HOW WILL I PAY FOR TREATMENT?
You can pay for your treatment at JourneyPure Fort Walton via self-pay or health insurance. We’re happy to work with you to discuss payment options and even run a free insurance benefits check so that you know exactly what costs you and your family can expect.
WHAT IS THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS LIKE?
At JourneyPure, we know that picking up the phone is a huge first step. For this reason, we aim to make the admissions process as easy as possible for our clients and their families. After asking some simple questions and reviewing the details of your case, an admissions team member will walk with you through each step of the process. This will ensure that you receive the treatment you need to change your life. We will also explain how your insurance benefits work and what, if any, financial commitment you might have. And because you’re sure to have questions, we’ll take the time to answer them. Once enrolled, you’ll be given a specific time to arrive. We are available to answer any questions you might have about admitting yourself or a loved one into treatment. Also, you can always call to explore ideas and options. The JourneyPure admissions team is available, right now, to answer any questions and address any concerns you might have.
HOW CAN I GET A LOVED ONE INTO TREATMENT?
Watching a loved one struggle with an addiction can be heartbreaking. After all, you can’t make anyone quit drugs or alcohol and you can’t do their recovery work for them. What you can do is educate yourself and grow familiar with the signs, treatments, and triggers related to addiction. JourneyPure Fort Walton also offers intervention services to help those who may be unwilling to get help face their behavior and recognize its impact on those around them.
HOW WILL JOURNEYPURE’S TREATMENT IMPACT MY LIFE ONCE I LEAVE?
Lifelong sobriety can be achieved by integrating recovery skills into your everyday life. One of the chief aspects of our addiction treatment program is providing coping skills and accountability measures to our clients. We also offer to all alumni our proprietary JourneyPure Coaching™ app, which provides each user with his or her own personal recovery coach and support system to help with the post-treatment transition.
CAN YOU TREAT OTHER MEDICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES ASIDE FROM JUST ADDICTION TREATMENT?
JourneyPure Fort Walton is a premier outpatient center that provides integrated, comprehensive care to patients experiencing co-occurring disorders. It’s not uncommon for patients suffering from substance abuse to also experience co-occurring mental health disorders. These disorders can include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, bipolar, and PTSD. In fact, people with mental health disorders are far more likely to abuse substances in order to cope. There are approximately nine million Americans who abuse alcohol or drugs that have an undiagnosed mental health disorder.
ARE YOU ABLE TO ARRANGE FOR SOMEONE TO PRESCRIBE A MEDICATION TO TREAT ALCOHOL USE DISORDER IF IT IS APPROPRIATE?
Our process for treating alcoholism can involve medically assisted detox, which protects the patient from the potentially fatal effects of alcohol withdrawal. Our staff provides 24/7 care to reduce the discomfort of withdrawal symptoms, making the transition to sober living less overwhelming. Of course, all of our substance abuse treatment plans are created on a case-by-case basis, and that includes a conversation regarding medication. We also provide holistic treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and experiential therapies to treat the patient’s mind, body, and spirit. Our goal is to find the unique solution that works in treating the individual, giving each client the necessary tools to succeed in their recovery.
